The Sheriff is the chief law enforcement officer in DuPage County, an area
of 332 square miles with a population of 904,161. The Office
directly serves the unincorporated areas of the county with a population of
approximately 104,000 and also offers many countywide services and initiatives.
One of the indicators of a communities quality of life is the
professionalism and caliber of it's law enforcement. The DuPage County
Sheriff's Office is one of only a few departments nationwide to be
recognized for it's excellence earning the prestigious Triple Crown Award
- an honor given only to agencies who have achieved accreditation in every
area, including law enforcement, corrections, correctional health care,
and court security. The DuPage County Sheriff's Office is proud to have
earned that distinction.
The Sheriff believes that community input is essential to the
operation of the Sheriff's Office.
