Sheriff Charges 3 Men with Robbery

 Sheriff John E. Zaruba announced today the arrest of three male suspects who allegedly robbed a juvenile victim in unincorporated Clarendon Hills late yesterday afternoon. 

Kelechukwu Akuba (dob 10/17/92) of the 300 block of Daisy Circle., Romeoville, Leverenzel Booth (dob 04/14/94) of the 7500 block of Farmingdale Dr., Darien and Jerron Wilbut (dob 12/21/93) of the 16w600  block of Mockingbird Lane., Willowbrook have all been charged with one count of Robbery which is Class 2 felony. 

Late yesterday afternoon at approximately 4:00 pm the juvenile victim had made plans to meet with the three (3) suspects in which they were acquaintances in unincorporated Clarendon Hills.  Akuba, Booth and Wilbut with intentions of robbing the juvenile, let the victim into the vehicle and displayed what was believed to be handgun, robbed him of his currency and property, then released the victim from the vehicle and left the scene. After a short investigation by Sheriff’s Detectives, the three suspects and property were located, taken into custody. The three were charged with the robbery. 

All three suspects are currently being held in the DuPage County Jail and are scheduled to be in bond court this morning.
