Candlelight Vigil for Baby Hope

Sheriff John Zaruba would like to inform the public that there will be a candlelight vigil for Baby Hope on Thursday, September 15th, from 7pm-9pm. This will be held at St. Michael Parish at 310 Wheaton Ave, Wheaton, IL.

Rest in His Arms will host the evening which will include time to show support for Baby Hope as well as all of the children in our lives that left this world far too young. The evening will include prayer, silent reflection, peaceful music, messages of hope, compassion and understanding, and one-on-one interaction with various pastors and grief counselors for those who wish to talk about their experiences.

For those who are interested, Fr. Daniel Hoehn will offer a Holy Hour of silent prayer in Church from 6:00-7:00pm ending with Benediction in the Catholic Tradition. All are welcome.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind the public of the Newborn Infant Protection Act, also known as Safe Haven. This law allows newborn babies to be turned over to personnel at a police station, fire station, or hospital without repercussions. The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office is a safe haven location.

Sheriff Zaruba is asking you to help us help Baby Hope by continuing to share and talk about this case. Please encourage anyone with information to contact the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office at (630) 407-2400 or text us anonymously at 274637 with the word SHERIFF and your tip.
