Sheriff Arrests Convicted Child Sex Offender for Noncompliance
Sheriff John E. Zaruba announced today the arrest of a convicted child sex offender for failure to report his change address as a sex offender.
James Heath (dob/09/11/63) no known address, was arrested this morning and charged with 1 count of Failure to Report Change of Address as a Sex Offender which is a class 2 felony.
This morning Heath, a convicted child sex offender was taken into custody after failing to notify the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office that he was no longer residing at his registered address in Medinah. State statute says that a convicted registered sex offender must inform the residing police department of a change of address. This is the second time Heath has been charged with failing to register as a sex offender.
He was taken into custody, brought to the DuPage County Jail and is currently being held on $75,000 bond.
The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office reminds readers that any charges indicated in this document are merely accusations, and the listed defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
