Sheriff Charges Carol Stream Woman for Hit & Run
Sheriff John Zaruba announced today the arrest of a Carol Stream woman after leaving the scene of a hit and run after she hit a pedestrian in unincorporated West Chicago late last night.
Kim H. Phan (dob/03/28/57) of the 700 block of Burning Trail, Carol Stream has been charged with Failure to Report an Accident Involving Personal Injury which is a class 2 felony.
At approximately 11:40 p.m. last night, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a hit and run involving a pedestrian on Fair Oaks Rd. and Trieste Lane in West Chicago. The victim had just exited their vehicle, when Phan’s vehicle hit the victim and left the scene of the accident. The victim was transferred to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital to be treated for their significant injuries.
Phan is currently being held in the DuPage County Jail and will be in bond court this afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
