Sheriff Arrests Chicago Man for Domestic Battery
Sheriff John Zaruba arrested a male suspect for domestic battery against his girlfriend in Wheaton this morning.
Robert Brown (dob 05/16/93) of the 2100 block of W. Randolph., Chicago, has been charged with Domestic Battery and Possession of Cannabis.
The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a screaming female who stated she was just battered. Upon on arrival of responding units, it was determined that the suspect involved in the incident had fled the area on foot.
Deputies reported the suspect’s physical description and clothing to the surrounding units. Sheriff Zaruba while responding to the call, observed a male subject on foot, matching the physical description of the suspect, approximately a mile from where the incident occurred. The Sheriff detained the subject and was able to determine that the individual was the suspect involved in the alleged domestic battery.
Brown is currently being held in the DuPage County Jail and will be in bond court this afternoon at 4:00pm.
