2016 Public Notice

The DuPage County Sheriff Office is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve continued Gold Standard Accreditation by verifying it meets professional standards. The assessment will take place from Sunday, March 6, 2016 through Wednesday, March 9, 2016.

Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state- of - the - art standards in five basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, support services and Communications. The DuPage County Sheriff's Office has been accredited since 1990.

 As part of the on-site Gold Standard Assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments at a public information session on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 6:00 pm. The Session will be conducted in Room 3-500a and 3-500b of the DuPage County Administration Building 421 N County Farm Road, Wheaton, Illinois.

Agency Employees and the public are also invited to offer comments by calling (630) 407-2371 on Monday, March 7, 2016, between the hours of 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team.

Telephone comments, as well as appearance at the public information session, are limited to 10 minutes, and must address the agency's ability to comply with CALEA's standards.
