Detectives continue to ask for the public’s help in identifying human remains
found in the Herrick Lake Forest Preserve, in April of 2010.

the ages of 45 and 65 years old. He was missing numerous teeth, including
the two front upper teeth, prior to his death. The pictured sweatshirt was
located with the remains. The composite photo was furnished by the FACES
Lab at Louisiana State University, who did facial reconstruction on the man’s

DuPage County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in identifying
the human remains that were found in April 2010 at the Herrick Lake Forest
Preserve in unincorporated Wheaton.
past winter, the Sheriff’s Office along with the DuPage County Coroner Office
sent the remains that were found to the FACES Labs at Louisiana State
University for a digital facial reconstruction. The attached photo shows that
remains are of a male, possibly of a Hispanic or Native American decent,
between the age 45 and 65 years of old, with a very distinctive dental pattern.

The investigation so far has
determined that the victim has a very distinct teeth pattern, with missing teeth
in the front. Also the victim was possibly wearing a grey sweat shirt with a
logo on the left front saying “Little Nicky,” with a brand name of the Hanes, in
the size of Extra Large.
At this time the sex and race of the victim are still unknown and the
cause of death is still under investigation.
