Too Good for Drugs
Sheriff's deputies present the Too Good for Drugs programs to 5th graders in 26 schools throughout unincorporated DuPage County.
Too Good for Drugs is a school based prevention program designed to reduce risk factors and enhance protective factors related to alcohol, tobacco and other drug use among children.
The program, which has been designated by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as a model program, builds five essential life skills
- goal setting
- decision making
- bonding with pro-social others
- identifying and managing emotions
- communicating effectively
